Administration Denounces 'Democratic Fabrication' as More Epstein Estate Photographs Disclosed
House Democrats have published a additional set of what they labeled "alarming" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 photographs—some of which have been previously circulated—combined with another 70 issued later on Friday constitute a tiny fraction of the approximately 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is examining the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The shamed investor was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking offenses.
Notable Figures in the Images
Included in the high-profile individuals shown in the initial batch are celebrities such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump appears in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
Administration Response
The White House responded to the release in a statement, charging Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the pictures for electoral motives and to "try and create a false narrative."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been consistently disproven," a White House spokesperson stated, maintaining that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats ever have by repeatedly calling for transparency, releasing thousands of pages of records, and urging further investigations into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The photographs were disclosed devoid of explanation, but per a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the investigative panel, they raise more questions about Epstein's connections to the rich and powerful.
"Now is the occasion to end this White House obfuscation and deliver justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a statement.
The release of these documents coincides with the oversight committee proceeding with its probe into the Epstein case.
