David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
