The former president's Granddaughter Seeks Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
This young athlete has impressive online presence
The young golfer can count on multiple prominent cheerleaders when she starts her LPGA debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates numerous golf courses and frequently plays against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He essentially advised me to play and relax," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with running the country, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions this year and holds the 461st position in AJGA listings.
But she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," Kai stated.
"And he's a superior person. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, featuring world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that her participation exposes golf to different demographics, particularly with the next generation.
The social media influencer maintains substantial online presence and has started her own clothing and lifestyle brand.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
